Children's Ministry
3 years old through 5th Grade

At St. Mark's, we want our children's area to be vibrant, exciting and fun. From an early age, kids learn and see that God loves them and that he has a plan for their life. Click here for the Fall 2011 Registration Form.

J.A.M. (Jesus And Me) Sundays 10:15 -11:15 am, Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 pm
J.A.M. (Jesus And Me) is the name of our children’s church school experience on Sundays from 10:15 to 11:15 am and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm (during the school year). J.A.M. incorporates worship, learning, and group building to engage opportunities for children ages 3 years old through 5th grade.

Using a variety of learning opportunites (drama, music, science, movies, cooking, crafts, etc), these children will learn the stories of God's love for the world. They are invited to learn about the Bible, meet new friends, and spend time with caring leaders who will not only teach the lesson but be the lesson. We sing songs and tell stories to focus on the lessons of the day.

SUMMER J.A.M.
Preschool through 5th Graders will enjoy an interactive Bible story, games, crafts, music, and snacks during summer J.A.M. which will be offered every-other-week through the summer during the 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship service. Everyone will start in worship and be dismissed for J.A.M. from there.

Joyful Noise Choir (1st – 5th grade) Wednesdays
This choir gives children a fun introduction to faith-based music. Robert Murphy is the choir director, and we're not sure who has more fun - him or the children! Join Bob for rehearsals on Wednesdays evenings in the Chapel (September to May) from 5:15 to 5:45. Look for the children to sing during the 10:15 worship about 2 times a month.

Hot Buttered Popcorn Drama Ministry (1st – 5th grades)
Hot Buttered Popcorn is the drama ministry program for Sunday school age children.
Children have a chance to learn a great Bible story, be a Bible character, a hero or a villain, wear a costume, sing, dance and play, play, play. The next show is scheduled to begin rehearsals in January 2012, with performances in April.

Fun and Fellowship
In addition to the established programs listed above, we offer many activities designed to introduce children to each other and build good, healthy relationships here at St. Mark’s. Special events for families with young children are held throughout the year. Watch for information about these special events at church throughout the year.
