The theme of St. Mark's Caring Ministries is "Carry the Light!" and St. Mark's is fulfilling that mission by carrying the light of Christ to members who are unable to leave their homes or who desire pastoral care and counsel.

Pastors and volunteers regularly visit members and friends of the congregation in private residences, care centers, senior living complexes, hospices and hospitals, providing care and counsel, administering the elements of Holy Communion and, when requested, anointing for healing. Members of the Caring Ministries Team regularly lead Chapel services at care centers where St. Mark's members reside.

St. Mark's Caring Ministries also includes:

The Homebound Lay Visitation program
The mission of this program is to provide Christian care and support to homebound members of St. Mark's through home visits that may include sharing communion. Training and ongoing support for lay visitors is provided through this program.

Ramsey County Nursing Home One-to-One Program
A group of St. Mark's members present a program, share a light snack and visit one-to-one with special friends at the care center once a month.

Action Corps
A caring ministry committed to preparing and serving meals for families and friends following funerals.

Prayer Chain Ministry
